Yuness Lemqadem is 27 years old and has been part of the ITpoint team since March 2019. As Team Leader Service Desk in Gümligen he supports his team members where he can and is responsible together with them for a smooth support of ITpoint's customers.

I have already worked with Yuness on different projects and thus got to know him a little bit. Now I am very happy to interview him today and learn more about him.
Positive attitude helps even in the most difficult times
Although it may not seem like it at all; Yuness’ life journey, especially during her school days, was not always easy. From the age of 12 to 16, Yuness battled leukemia and had to undergo numerous chemotherapies.
While he tells me his story, I struggle with my feelings. I am stunned and can hardly find words. I get lost in my thoughts and come back when Yuness says, “I am not a person who gives up no matter how difficult the situation is. I firmly believe that a positive attitude strongly helps to get through everything more easily.”
Long after Yuness’ words, I still think about it and admire the strength and motivation he displays on a daily basis.
Training and career change
Yuness’ positive and motivated manner have also helped him in his education and on his professional path. After his apprenticeship as a system technician EFZ, Yuness worked for different companies in the areas of network, server and internal support. In the long run, internal IT was no longer exciting enough for him, which is why he was looking for an IT service provider where he could also deal directly with the concerns of his customers.

In 2019, Yuness started as a support engineer at ITpoint, where he was given the opportunity to take over the position of Team Leader Service Desk at the Gümligen site a few months later. Yuness says: “I’m delighted that my team and I can work together to support our customers in various areas and help them move forward. I am happy when our customers are happy too. In this sense: Happy customers = Happy Yuness team,” he adds with a smile.
Because Yuness is interested in continuous training and personal development, he has decided to complete additional training as a business IT specialist HF, which he is currently attending on a part-time basis.
Family – the source of energy
During our interview, Yuness keeps coming back to his family. He laughs a lot when he tells me about meeting his wife. The two have been happy parents for a few months now. “I feel very fulfilled when I am surrounded by my favorite people. In addition to my wife and young daughter, these include my parents, my siblings and my best friends. I get a lot of energy when I spend time with them, which helps me every day to cope well with all the challenges that life brings.”
What the future still holds
Yuness is looking forward to completing his education as a Business Information Specialist in October 2022 and continuing to help shape the future of ITpoint.
“ITpoint is currently in a very exciting and also for me highly interesting situation, which I would very much like to help shape. I am looking forward to everything that is yet to come and especially to continuing to inspire people around me with my know-how and my personality”.
