COVID-19 Coronavirus: ITpoint establishes task force

The coronavirus has been in Switzerland for several weeks. In this blog we report on the organizational measures we have taken so far and how we are adapting our behavior. With the help of a task force established specifically for this purpose and modern technical aids, we would like to enable us to continue working successfully.

The ITpoint task force is responsible for regularly sensitizing all employees to various precautionary measures. Its instructions are based on the recommendations of the Swiss Federal Office for Health (SFOH). Today, these include keeping their distance, washing their hands thoroughly on a regular basis and avoiding touching their face and shaking hands.

Should the SFOH make further recommendations or order measures, we will implement them quickly. We are ideally equipped to do so thanks to fast decision-making processes, modern technical aids and a prepared task force.

Use of collaboration tools
All employees are regularly informed by the task force about relevant events relating to the coronavirus and other related organizational measures via internal collaboration tools. In order to reduce the amount of personal contact between employees, team meetings are already increasingly being held via Microsoft Teams.

Homeoffice
Even though all ITpoint employees already have their own notebook, there is still no obligation for home office. However, employees have been instructed to take their notebooks home with them every day to be prepared in case of a worst-case scenario. Employees who are considered particularly vulnerable by the SFOH, as well as employees who travel long distances by public transport, are already working from their home office.

Events

ITpoint has so far cancelled all upcoming own events of the next three months.

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel our own events and therefore also the Power i Round Table (PiRT), for the protection of all of us. With the help of our task force, we will continue to take measures to enable our employees and customers to continue working successfully.
