All signs point to growth – Sharp acquires ITpoint
Rüschlikon/Rotkreuz, 17 March 2021 – Sharp Electronics (Europe) GmbH has acquired all company shares in ITpoint AG on 12 March 2021. With this, the company wants to gradually develop the core business of ITpoint into one of its strategic business areas. Roland Singer, founder of ITpoint, has found an ideal succession solution with this acquisition.
The partnership between Sharp and ITpoint offers customers of both companies great added value. Both offer nationwide service offerings with qualified technical support. While ITpoint customers get direct access to highly professional document and visual solutions hardware, business laptops and suitable software solutions, Sharp customers benefit from the expertise of the ITpoint team in the integration-, cloud- and managed services business.
In the coming years, both companies are planning to expand their existing range of services and the nationwide service and sales network throughout Switzerland. ITpoint services are to be gradually developed into a strategic business area of Sharp.

The investment in ITpoint is an important step for Sharp as part of the international investment and growth strategy in Europe. “Switzerland is an important market for us in Europe.
