Not all Belgian abbey beers today have a monastic background. In many cases, today’s abbey beers are large breweries that have acquired the trademark rights (Leffe belongs to AB-Inbev, Grimbergen to Heineken). Thus, under license of a famous name, they can add a certain charm to the product.
We have brewed our top-fermented beer with 6 different types of malt and refined it with 3 different hops. The slightly higher alcohol content and the typical sweet finish we owe to the addition of rock candy. With the beautiful golden color and white foam, it smells fruity and spicy. The beer is to be enjoyed between 10 and 12 ° C from a bulbous goblet.
