Awarded: Third place at Service Management Switzerland Awards 2018

The Service Management Forum Switzerland has awarded the "SMS Awards" for the first time and honored the most innovative projects and solutions in the field of service management. We are very happy about rank 3.

The award went to our “ITpoint 2020” project. We launched this project to improve the efficiency and quality of services with IT service management processes and tools and thus create added value for customers.

As a service provider with our own cloud environment, continuous improvement is essential for us. Our ITSM framework was defined and certified according to ISO 20000 back in 2014, but the processes were only partially supported by tools. The relationship between the benefits and the effort required to operate the framework was not right. With “ITpoint 2020”, we addressed this challenge in three subprojects:

  • Revise and add ITSM processes
  • Evaluate and implement an ITSM suite
  • Evaluate and implement a new monitoring solution to monitor cloud infrastructure and applications.

With ITpoint 2020, we have been able to massively mitigate the effort required for annual ISO 20000 audits – and disprove the repeatedly heard statement that ITIL and service management are only for large organizations.

By the way, the first two places were taken by Swiss Re and the Canton of Thurgau. Congratulations!
