Change in the management of ITpoint Systems AG

As of 1 July 2018, Cuno Vuillemin will take over as CEO of the IT service provider ITpoint. Former CEO Hermann Züger will remain a member of the extended Executive Board and support Business Development in the future. Additionally, Philippe Wettstein has been promoted to ITpoint management and will take over as chief managed services officer of the newly created Service Development & Architecture Department.

The new CEO, Cuno Vuillemin, has been working at ITpoint since early 2014. Before that, he was the director of Bern-based IT company VR2Swiss AG, which merged with ITpoint in 2014. After the merger, he was responsible for the development and strengthening of the ITpoint location in Bern, among other things. As member of ITpoint management, Cuno Vuillemin spent several years shaping the company’s operational skills.

The transition to the new CEO of ITpoint Systems AG is on schedule. For the last four years, the IT company, with locations in Rotkreuz, Bern and Geneva, has operated under the leadership of Hermann Züger, who will continue to work for ITpoint. He will join the Business Development division and remain a member of the extended Executive Board.

Hermann Züger on the change: «I am pleased that we have been able to handle my succession internally and that Cuno has agreed to take on the position of CEO. He has had a strong influence on our company and is a well-connected figure who knows the IT market very well.»

The new CEO is committed to continuity: «I would like to pursue the path ITpoint has embarked on so far,” says Vuillemin. “Our aim is to continue developing ITpoint as a high-quality IT service provider for demanding companies and to further strengthen our market position.»

ITpoint’s steering committee will undergo another change on 1 July 2018. Philippe Wettstein will join the Executive Board and also assume leadership of the new Service Development & Architecture Department in his new role as chief managed services officer. Wettstein has been working for ITpoint since 2011, and in his former role as sales leader of managed services, he significantly contributed to the development of ITpoint’s ORIA Prime Managed Services.
