ITpoint pushes Managed Services with the “ORIA” brand
The IT specialist from Rotkreuz will henceforth bundle its range of Managed IT Services in a single brand: "ORIA Prime Managed Services". With the ORIA principle, a company hands over IT responsibility to ITpoint and procures IT components as needed as a service. ORIA customers are demanding medium-sized companies that want to focus on their own core business. There is no comparable branding in the IT market.
“More and more companies are realizing that IT operations are not part of their core competencies and that services are required that are difficult to provide themselves in an economical manner. With ORIA, we take this burden off SMEs and provide them with just the right dose of IT services,” explains Philippe Wettstein, Leader Services Sales at ITpoint.
The ORIA model provides IT services (infrastructure, software and operation services) according to requirements at a monthly price and can be scaled up or down as needed. Companies can use it as a supplement to their own IT services or as an alternative to their own IT department. Behind ORIA is a specialized, experienced operations team from ITpoint combined with modern IT systems in highly secure Swiss data centers. The customer selects the desired services from a service catalog and chooses from three approaches as a reference infrastructure: Shared Cloud, Private Cloud or Hybrid Cloud. The service management around the reference infrastructures is ISO/IEC 20000 certified.
Hermann Züger, CEO of ITpoint, adds, “The ORIA approach is not new to us. We have been focusing more on managed services for years, but we still implement infrastructure projects. With ORIA as a brand, we want to give our managed services a clear position and occupy the topic more intensively in the market. The classic IT business will change a lot and we want to help shape it.”
ORIA is derived from the two Latin words ordinare and ministeria, which in combination should in turn stand for “managed services.” Managed services are IT services that are provided by a vendor for a defined period of time through a master agreement at set prices.
