Third prize at Service Management Switzerland Awards 201829. October 2018
The Service Management Forum Switzerland has recently awarded its first ever «SMS Awards» to recognize the most innovative projects and solutions in the field of service management. ITpoint was honoured to win third prize.
We were awarded third prize for our project «ITpoint 2020». We launched this project to improve the efficiency and quality of services with IT service management processes and tools, creating more value for our customers.
As a service provider with its own cloud environment, we are constantly striving to improve. Although our ITSM framework was defined and ISO 20000 certified in 2014, the processes were only partially supported by tools. The effort-to-benefit ratio to operate the framework wasn’t quite right. With «ITpoint 2020», we addressed this challenge in three subprojects:
- Revision and completion of ITSM processes
- Evaluation and implementation of an ITSM suite
- Evaluation and implementation of a new monitoring solution for cloud infrastructure and applications
With ITpoint 2020, we’ve been able to massively reduce the burden of the annual ISO 20000 audits and challenge the often-heard statement that ITIL and Service Management are only for big organisations.
