Shanghai: Ibish Tola gets fit for the globalized world

Along with two dozen other talents, our apprentice Ibish Tola packed the suitcases to complete a three-week practical training in Shanghai. Far away from home, they can work on various projects in local companies and international corporations. The program also includes language lessons, networking events and cultural experiences. What a great experience.

Ibish’s anticipation was great: “It is an honour for me to be able to make a contribution to the ICT/ELO Weeks Shanghai. Accordingly, my expectations are high – on the one hand for the program and on the other hand for myself. Only the best talents were selected for participation. This motivates me all the more to give my very best and to share as much knowledge and competence as possible and take it with me from Shanghai. I’m happy and curious to see what I can expect in China”.

The young people have been selected by their training companies and vocational schools as part of a talent promotion programme. Ibish is one of the three apprentices at the Gewerblich-industriellen Bildungszentrum Zug (GIBZ) who are taking part. This spring, the participants successfully applied for this international mobility project, launched by the cantons of Zurich, Lucerne, Schaffhausen and GIBZ. The learners are accompanied by vocational school teachers and the “Route2China” exchange organisation.

We are very happy about this opportunity for Ibish!

At ITpoint there are usually four IT students in training. In addition to our cooperation with the GIBZ, we maintain a close partnership with Roche in order to be able to offer the apprentices tight inter-company courses.
